BELLEVILLE, NJ — Paving work on two roads in Belleville is expected to cause street closures and traffic detours next week.

Work will be taking place on Cortlandt Street and Harrison Street. Here’s what to know, according to a municipal advisory:

“The township will be paving Cortlandt Street (from Joralemon Street to Bella Vista Avenue) on Monday, July 28 and Tuesday, July 29, and Harrison Street on Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, July 31, weather permitting. During this time, road closures and detours will be in place. Please plan accordingly, allow extra travel time and follow posted detour signs.”

“We appreciate your patience as we work to improve the community’s infrastructure,” the town’s message added.
