‘Spielberg To Sopranos’: Nutley Podcast Spotlights Rena DeAngelo

NUTLEY, NJ — A local podcast series in Nutley that puts the spotlight on accomplished local residents recently interviewed Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award-winning set decorator Rena DeAngelo.
DeAngelo, a Nutley High School class of 1984 graduate, discussed her journey from Rutgers Place to the Academy Awards red carpet – and everything in between – in the latest episode of the Inside Nutley Podcast.
DeAngelo’s on-the-job experience includes working with such iconic show business figures like Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, James Gandolfini, Bruce Springsteen, Ed Harris, Diana Ross and Mick Jagger. Rena also explained the many challenges that come with being the set decorator on such major projects as “West Side Story,” “The Sopranos” and “Mad Men.”
