Tanning Mom Legislation Signed into Law
The Associate Press reports that on Monday, April 1, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed legislation banning anyone under 17 from using a tanning bed and anyone under 14 from getting a spray tan. The legislation was written after Nutley resident Patricia Krentcil was accused of taking her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning booth last year and was subsequently charged with child endangerment.

Nutley officials have selected an architect to envison the future of the huge Nutley/Clifton campus soon to be vacated by Roche pharmaceuticals.The Nutley Board of Commissioners on Tuesday night approved master plan architect EE&K, a Perkins Eastman Co., to assist Nutley in the redevelopment of the Roche property.

Nutley High School cafeteria tables were piled high with formal fashions on Wednesday when volunteers took in used prom dresses for "Operation Cinderella." Volunteers from the township and school collected 83 dresses for donation to Catherine’s Closets, a non-profit organization in Newark that works with local area high schools with students that would normally not be able to afford designer prom dresses.
