Tuesday Classic Car Shows Return in May
Commissioner Scarpelli announced the auto tradition is returning.
Nutley Commissioner Dr. Joseph Scarpelli and the Department of Public Works announced this that the Township will host Cruisin’ at Nutley, a classic car event, on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer months starting Tuesday, May 7 and running through Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Municipal Parking Lot #1.
“I am looking forward to bringing back this classic tradition,” commented Commissioner Dr. Joseph P. Scarpelli. “Families can come down and enjoy the classics, restored and custom vehicles from back in the day, while also enjoying the downtown area,” said the Commissioner. The event will feature cars of all makes and models up to the year 1986. There is no need to pre-register and is the event free for both spectators and car owners.
Commissioner Scarpelli and the DPW worked closely with local business owner, John Griffith of Griffith Shade, to make this event a reality for the Township. Griffith played an integral role in getting past local classic car events started in the area.

individual classic car owners and car club members are welcome to participate. Local businesses are invited to support the event by offering discounts.
