Video and Photos: St. Peter's Living Stations of the Cross

Annual church event was once again a stirring spectacle.

The Church of St. Peter in Belleville observed Good Friday  with a stirring re-enactment of the Living Stations of the Cross.

The parishioner acting as Jesus carried the cross through the streets near the William Street church, occasionally stumbling and getting mock whipped by church members dressed as Roman guards.

Holy Week is the week preceding Easter and the final week of Lent. Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday and ends with Holy Saturday, the day before Easter Sunday.
