3 Injured In Berkeley Crash: Police

Two cars collided Sunday afternoon at Davenport Road and Prince Charles Drive in Berkeley, police said.

BERKELEY, NJ — Three people were injured when two cars collided in a Berkeley Township senior community Sunday afternoon, police said.

The crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Nov. 9 at Davenport Road and Prince Charles Drive, police said.

A 2006 Jeep Wrangler was heading east on Davenport Road when a 2024 Hyundai Venue heading north on Prince Charles Drive entered the roadway and caused a collision, police said.

The Hyundai's driver was trapped inside the vehicle when police arrived, and reported leg pain. The car's passenger, a juvenile, complained of chest pain, police said.

The Manitou Fire Department helped extract the two.

The Jeep's driver reported pain as well, police said.

All three were taken to Community Medical Center.

Davenport Road was closed for a brief period Sunday as tow trucks cleared the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
