BERKELEY, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Aimee who nominated Alexandria of Berkeley. Aimee is Alexandria's mother.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Alexandria is a well-rounded student who is a great friend, classmate, daughter and sister. She is a high honor roll student, plays for the Central Regional High School volleyball, basketball and flag football teams. She is also the Secretary for the school Spirit Club. Outside of the classroom, she is a member of BATS! (Barnabas Active Teens) Youth Ministry at St. Barnabas Church, a member of the Brick Elite Girls Travel Flag Football Team, an Altar Server at St. Barnabas Church and is a member of the Lacey Antlers for the Lacey Elks Lodge. Although she enjoys the competition of sports, it is equally important to her to serve as an active member of the community. Everyday she aspires to be the best version of herself and through her kindness and actions, positively impacts the lives of her peers, friends, family and community.
