Central Regional Teens Get Rock Star Moment Performing With Foreigner
Members of the Central Regional High School Chorus had their time in the spotlight as they were invited onstage to perform with Foreigner.
BERKELEY, NJ — Members of the Central Regional High School Chorus got to experience what it was like to be a rock star for a night when they were invited to perform on stage with the rock band Foreigner.
Students had their time in the spotlight on July 23 when the band performed at the PNC Bank Art Center in Holmdel.
The choir was invited to perform with Foreigner seven years ago and were grateful to be invited again, according to Choral Director Beth Moore. Thirty members of the choir sang "I Wanna Know What Love Is" with the group on July 23. Foreigner invites choirs to sing with them on their concert tour to highlight the importance of music education in schools and the lifelong impact and importance of such an education, Moore said.

Moore was pleased her students got this chance.
"It was wonderful and so generous of Foreigner to include us," Moore said. "We are fortunate to have an administration and community that is very supportive of the arts at Central."

The students were also excited to perform with such a talented group of musicians at such a great venue.
"This experience by far has been one of the most surreal things I've ever done," said senior Alyssa Ely. "Being on stage and seeing a sea of people singing with their phone flashes on was just incredible."
