Charlotte Has A Giving Heart: Berkeley Star Student

Charlotte volunteers with a woman who had this to say about her: "This young lady was born with a giving heart and a generous soul."

Here's what makes Charlotte a Star Student.
Here's what makes Charlotte a Star Student. (Theresa Piscal)

BERKELEY, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Theresa Piscal who nominated Charlotte of Berkeley. Charlotte volunteers with Piscal.

How do you know the star local student?

She volunteers with me

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

In the few years that I’ve know Charlotte, I have watched her volunteer for anything or anyone who needs help. She raises money for the fire department, the historical society and the food pantry. She helps me collect toys for our toy drive. This young lady was born with a giving heart and a generous soul. I’ve never met a child with such energy and enthusiasm for making the world a better place!

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Charlotte is an amazing role model, not only for other children but also for adults!

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Charlotte!
