Driver Hospitalized After Parkway Crash In Beachwood: Police

A woman sustained serious injuries after a crash Saturday night on the Garden State Parkway in Beachwood, police said.

BEACHWOOD, NJ — A woman sustained serious injuries after a crash Saturday night on the Garden State Parkway in Beachwood, police said.

A pickup truck veered off the road in the northbound lanes near milepost 80 around 9:42 p.m., State Police said. The vehicle then struck a guard rail and overturned.

The driver, identified as a woman from the Villas section of Lower Township in Cape May County, was ejected from the vehicle.

The woman was transported to an area hospital and was last listed in serious condition. The center and right lanes were closed for approximately four and a half hours.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
