BERKELEY, NJ— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?
My mom raised us as a single mom struggling for years to give us a good life and make ends meet. I am grown with my own family and my mom is still there for me and my family no matter what.
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
My mom is so extra special. All my mom tries to do is make her kids and grandkids happy. I want to give my mom just a touch of the spotlight.
