Holiday City Man Charged With Leaving The Scene Of An Accident, Police Chief Says

Police have charged a Holiday City man who struck a parked car on Westbrook Drive recently with leaving the scene of an accident, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.
Patrolman Taylor Butler and Patrolman Alexander Houle responded to a motor vehicle accident on Westbrook Drive at 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 23. It was determined that Anthony Zito, 37, Westbrook Drive struck the vehicle and left the scene before police arrived, the chief said.
The officers were able to locate Zito at his home on Westbrook Drive. Zito was taken to Community Medical Center for treatment of injuries from the accident. He was later issued summonses for careless driving, failure to report and accident and leaving the scene of an accident, DiMichele said.
