Illegal Vapes Sold To Kids At Berkeley Gas Station, Police Say

THC products and flavored vapes were sold to people under 21, including minors, at the gas station, according to police.

BERKELEY, NJ — A Bayville gas station was busted for selling illegal flavored vapes and THC products, police said.

A search warrant was executed at the Sinclair Gas Station and Dino Mart on Route 9 in Bayville on Nov. 20, police said. It was the culmination of a month-long investigation into reports of the business selling prohibited items, including flavored vapes and THC products, police said.

Among those allegations, police received complaints that said products were sold to people under 21, including minors.

Police seized about 1,000 individual flavored vape cartridges and about 100 THC products, with additional evidence.

Arshveer Singh, 29, of New York was later charged with possessing marijuana/THC products with intent to sell and distribute them as well as offering flavored vape products for sale. He was processed and released due to bail reform.

Also, the business owners and employees were provided with "educational literature" on prohibited sale of flavored vapes and THC products.

Police said they will continue to visit all local tobacco shops to present them with the same educational literature.
