Summer may be unofficially over, but September brings fun like Lacey Day, the Ocean County Irish Festival and more:
SOUTHERN OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — September marks the unofficial end of summer and the return of local summer, much to the delight of Ocean County residents.
Even though the typical summer season is over, September is still packed with fun things to do in Southern Ocean.

- When: Sept. 6, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Where: Manahawkin Lake Park
- Details: Enjoy food, drinks, live music, vendors and more as you celebrate Irish heritage with The Order of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh, Ocean County Chapter.
- When: Sept. 13, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Where: Ship Bottom's Boat Ramp
- Details: It's 100 years of Ship Bottom with a day of music, beer, food and vendors. Fireworks at dusk.
- When: Sept. 20, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Where: Albert Music Hall, Waretown (Outdoors)
- Details: Listen to Americana music while checking out vendors, local artisans, cloggers, face painting and more.
- When: Sept. 27, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Where: Gille Park, Lacey
- Details: Celebrate the Lacey community with a day of food trucks, trackless train rides, a petting zoo and a battle of the bands.
- When: Sept. 27 and 28
- Where: Tip Seaman County Park, Tuckerton
- Details: This popular free event features new and antique decoys, hunting and fishing boats, and plenty of contests.
