Mary 'Cookie' Mihok Mertz Of Bayville Dies At 58
Services for longtime Ocean County Road Department employee will be held on Tuesday in Bayville

Mary "Cookie" Mihok Mertz of Bayville passed away on June 8 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. She was 58.
Born in Lakewood, she spent her entire life in Bayville. Mary had retired from the Ocean County Road Department as an administrative analyst with 30 years of service. Cookie was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Elizabeth Mihok, her husband Ray Mertz, also her brothers, Jack and Bob Mihok.
Surviving are; brother Ken Mihok; stepdaughter Dawn Mertz, stepson Ray Mertz, step-granddaughter Stephanie Silva; two step-grandsons Scott and Justin Mertz, a step-great grandson Samuel Mertz, and her loving pets, Millie and Nicky.

Visiting hours will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12 at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory to: The Popcorn Park Zoo, Forked River (ahscares.org) or to: American Humane Society (americanhumane.org), would be appreciated.
