'My Father's List' Book Signing Set For Berkeley Ice Cream Parlor

BERKELEY, NJ — Author Laura Carney will be at Miss Mindy's Ice Cream on July 1 to talk about her book, "My Father's List."

Carney's father was killed in 2003 when a distracted driver ran a red light while talking on her cell phone, according to the book's website.

Years later, her family discovered a list her dad had made titled "Things I Would Like to Do in My Lifetime!" He had only checked off five things and marked one as failed.

Carney then decided she needed to complete the list in his honor, according to the website.

The book explores how Carney completes her father's bucket list and what she learned along the way.

Carney will discuss the book's meaning, read from it and do signings at Miss Mindy's. Find more information about the book here.
