National Weather Service Issues High Wind Warning For Jersey Shore
Potentially damaging high winds, power outages are on the way.

The coming storm will be accompanied by strong and potentially damaging high winds today and tonight.
Winds will be from the east at 30 to 40 miles per hour, with gusts up to 60 miles per hour. The warning will remain in effect until 9 p.m. tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
"The strongest winds are expected to occur during the day Monday," the NWS says. "Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Scattered to numerous power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles."

A high wind warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected. Winds speeds of 40 miles and hour or gusts up to 58 miles per hour can lead to property damage.
