Expect Delays In Berkeley Wednesday As Veterans Village Breaks Ground
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation's Bayville Veterans Village will be the first of its kind in New Jersey.

BERKELEY, NJ — Route 9 at Sloop Creek Road in Bayville will be closed until 2 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Ocean County Sheriff's Office.
The reason for the closure? At 11 a.m., a groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 539 Atlantic City Blvd. for the future Veterans Village.
If you're interested in attending the groundbreaking, shuttles will be available starting at 9:45 a.m. from the Berkeley Township Recreation Building and the Bayville Volunteer Fire Company, according to Mayor John Bacchione.

If you can't make it, the event will also be livestreamed on Facebook.
When completed in 2026, the Bayville Veterans Village will feature 98 single-occupancy apartments and 24 stand-alone comfort homes exclusively for America's veterans, according to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
