Sara Loves To Share History: Berkeley Star Student
Star Student Sara is the youngest member of the Berkeley Township Historical Society and started the History Club at school.

BERKELEY, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Josephine Morey who nominated Sara of Berkeley. Morey is on the board of the Berkeley Township Historical Society.

How do you know the star local student?
She is our youngest member of the Berkeley Township Historical Society and the president of our Young Historians Club.
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Sara is the kindest, most compassionate, well rounded young lady, I have ever met. Two years ago she joined our Historical Society due to her love of History. She has volunteered at numerous local and county Historical events dressed in period clothing and her passion for sharing History has made her a favorite at these events. Sara is very active in school, she was successful in petitioning the Central Regional High School Board of education to start a History Club of which she is the President. In addition, at the start of the school year, an international student was having difficulties navigating her new school, Sara volunteered her time after school for a tour and made sure to look after the new student during school hours. She is compassionate and kind to everyone she meets. Sara advocates for anti-bullying and lives up to her beliefs. She is also in the HS Drama Club. Sara is the daughter, sister, friend, we should all strive to be in life.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
This is a tough question. How wonderful she is. How kind, considerate and compassionate she is towards everyone she meets.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Sara!
