If you know kids who are in need of school supplies, the New Hope Baptist Church in Manitou Park has been hosting a "backpack fun day" for the past few years. This year, organizers hope it will be bigger than ever.

The event this year will be a "Back to School Jam" and all are invited. It will be held at the church, 171 11th St., Berkeley, on Sept. 14 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Not only will backpacks and school supplies be given away, there will also be live music, food, ice cream and games for the kids. The event is free to all.
