Bachelor's, Graduate Degrees Most Prevalent in the Hills

This week we take a look at the breakdown of education.

With the recent census information gathered, and more than 6,000 people in Bedminster ages 25 and over, a majority have earned their bachelor’s degree.

American Factfinder, through the United States Census Bureau, has gathered data about residents in the country, and breaks down highest educational achievement and more through each individual town.

In Bedminster, the population over 25 years of age totals 6,033, and, of that, 1,948 have their bachelor’s degree. Coming in a close second is 1,718 people with a graduate or professional degree.

Next, 848 people have attended some college with no degree, while 831 have their high school diplomas.

A total of 497 people have their associate’s degree, while 124 people have education less than ninth grade.

Finally, 67 people have education between ninth and 12th grade, with no diploma.

Bernardsville sees very similar numbers with its 5,128 people ages 25 or older, although the majority, 1,577 people, have a graduate or professional degree.

In a close second in that town, 1,451 people have a bachelor’s degree.

From there, 930 people have a high school diploma, and 564 have some college and no degree.

A total of 239 people have ninth to 12th grade education with no diploma, while 187 have an associate’s degree.

And finally, 180 people have less than a ninth grade education.
