Bedminster, Bernards Ranked In Top 5 NJ Towns By NJ Monthly

Bedminster and Bernards were named among the best places to live in New Jersey.

BEDMINSTER/BERNARDS, NJ — Bedminster and Bernards were ranked among the top five of the top 100 towns in New Jersey by New Jersey Monthly magazine.

New Jersey Monthly looked at several factors to determine the rankings, including average tax bills, the average change in tax bills since 2016, median home prices and their changes since 2016, the crime rate per 1,000 residents, and local high schools' rank by New Jersey Monthly.

Bedminster was ranked No. 3 and Bernards No. 4.

Bedminster residents' tax bills have increased just 0.7 percent since 2016, and Bernards residents' just 1.8 percent.

The median home price in Bedminster is $314,000, which is actually 8.1 less than what it was since 2016. Home prices in Bernards have increased 2.6 percent during that same time, according to New Jersey Monthly.

Bedminster and Bernards have low crime rates at four and three and a half incidents reported per 1,000 people, respectively.

The local high schools also ranked in the top 20.
