Crime Decreases to Zero in First Month of Year
New tool from State Police offers a snapshot of recent crime reporting.

January was a very quiet month in both Bernardsville and Bedminster, as crime decreased by 100 percent, to 0, according to a New Jersey State Police crime report from January 2013.
According to the report, in Bernardsville, there were 0 crimes reported in January 2013, down from 5 reported in January 2012.
The January 2012 figures found 1 forcible entry burglary and 4 larceny thefts.

In January 2013, there were none of those.
Bedminster saw the exact same figures with a decrease of 100 percent in reported crime in January 2013 because there were none reported.

After 2 automobile thefts and 1 larceny theft reported in January 2012, not one crime was reported in January 2013, according to the state police statistics.
