Meetings, Columbus Day Closures Mark the Week

It's Monday, the start of another work-week, the end of the weekend, and that can only mean one thing—it's time to look ahead to the week at hand.

It's going to be busy in Bernardsville and Bedminster, and we've got your list of things to look out for, from meetings to school activities and everything in between.

• The Somerset Hills School District is closed on Monday for a staff day.
• The Bedminster Township School is closed for a staff development day Monday.
• The Bernardsville Borough Hall on Mine Brook Road is closed on Monday for Columbus Day.
• The Bedminster municipal building on Miller Lane is closed on Monday for Columbus Day.
• A Bedminster Open Space/Farmland Advisory Committee Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the municipal building on Miller Lane.
• A Bedminster Township School PTO meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the school on Somerville Road.
• All residents are invited to attend a public meeting being held by the Green Team at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bernardsville Public Library on Anderson Hill Road. Entitled "The Right Balance," this meeting will present three studies on deer management which demonstrate how to preserve the unique character of Bernardsville. The studies to be addressed include “Planting of 100 Red Oak Seedlings” and "Deer Browse," both by Dr. Michael Van Clef, and the results of an opinion survey sent to all residents by the Bernardsville Green Team. A public question and answer period will follow the presentations.
• The Mayor and Bernardsville Borough Council are scheduled to hold a public meeting and work session starting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday on the second floor of Borough Hall on Mine Brook Road.
• The Bernardsville Recreation Committee is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday on the second floor of Borough Hall on Mine Brook Road.
• The Bernardsville Environmental Commission is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Borough Hall on Mine Brook Road.
• A presentation on the Spain trip for students at Bedminster Township School will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m.
• The Thursday Bedminster Land Use Board meeting has been cancelled.
• School pictures will be held at the Bedminster Township School all day Friday.
