Dismissed Traffic Tickets in Bernardsville Under Review

The summonses were allegedly issued to the 18-year-old son of Republican borough council candidate Janet Waite, according to report.

The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing the dismissal of two traffic summonses by the Bernardsville Police Department recently for possible impropriety.

The Bernardsville News reported a source told them the motorist who received the tickets was the 18-year-old son of Republican Borough Council candidate Janet Waite. The summonses were issued in July for leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident.

Bernardsville Mayor Lee Honecker requested the review after hearing rumors within the community about the issue, according to the report.
