School Budget, Solar Ordinance Top News This Week

Meetings scheduled throughout Bernardsville and Bedminster.

It's Monday, the start of another work-week, the end of the weekend, and that can only mean one thing—it's time to look ahead to the week at hand.

It's going to be busy in Bernardsville and Bedminster, and we've got your list of things to look out for, from meetings to school activities and everything in between.

For the second week in a row, school budgets are going to top the week, with Bedminster Township School District introducing its budget Wednesday in advance of the due date for submission to the county superintendent.

Solar panels will also be a topic of discussion when the Bedminster Township Committee introduces its ordinance concerning defining solar panel construction throughout the township. Residents are expected to come out with concerns about an application expected in April concerning the possibility of a solar farm on Kirby Farms.

  • The Bedminster Township School will have early dismissal at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
  • The Bedminster Township Committee will be holding a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the municipal building on Miller Lane.
  • HSPA Testing will be held at Bernards High School Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
  • The Bedminster Township School Board of Education will be holding a special meeting concerning the budget at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Bedminster Township School on Somerville Road.
  • There will be Bulky Waste Disposal at the public works department on Miller Lane in Bedminster from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday.
  • The Bedminster Township Land Use Board will be holding a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the municipal building on Miller Lane.
  • The Bernardsville Planning Board will be holding a meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the municipal building on Mine Brook Road.
  • The spring musical will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday, at Bernards High School.
