This week will see a return to focus on school budgets as the Bedminster Board of Education will be holding a public hearing for its proposed budget that will increase taxes by $157.

There have been concerns over the high increase, and the decision to cut the family and consumer science program, which has been done because of an increase in costs for special education and high school tuition.

  • The Bernardsville Borough Mayor and Council will hold a meeting Monday at 7 p.m. in the municipal building on Mine Brook Road.
  • The Bernardsville Borough Board of Health will hold a meeting Monday at 7 p.m. in the municipal building on Mine Brook Road.
  • The Somerset Hills School District will hold a board of education meeting Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Bernards High School.
  • The Bedminster Township Board of Education will hold a meeting, with a public hearing on the budget, Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Bedminster Township School on Somerville Road.
  • The Bedminster Township Offices will be closed Friday for Good Friday.
  • All Bedminster and Bernardsville schools will be closed Friday for Good Friday.
