Superintendent Search, Teachers Contracts Top Local News

The Bedminster Education Association is moving in to fact finding with the board of education as they have yet to settle on a new contract after the previous one expired in June 2011.

An informal agreement has been reached, but final approval may have to wait until the end of the year while the salary guides are still being discussed.

Current superintendent Peter Miller is retiring, and the district is beginning the search for his replacement by hiring the New Jersey School Boards Association to guide the search.

Work has been finished on 13 crosswalks throughout Bernardsville, all of which were installed four years ago to spruce up the area around Olcott Square.

A solar panel project behind the municipal building in Bedminster is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
