Solar Ordinance Tops News This Week

It's Monday, the start of another work-week, the end of the weekend, and that can only mean one thing—it's time to look ahead to the week at hand.

It's going to be busy in Bernardsville and Bedminster, and we've got your list of things to look out for, from meetings to school activities and everything in between.

Bedminster has a full township committee meeting Monday, with a public presentation of the 2013 budget, as well as continued discussion of the proposed solar ordinance.

With the solar ordinance, the committee is expected to discuss more continued revisions to it, with a possible plan for reintroducing it and then sending it on to the Land Use Board for determination of whether it fits in with the township’s master plan.

Coming up this week:

• Bedminster Township School will be closed from Monday through Friday for spring break.
• The Somerset Hills School District  will be closed for spring break Monday through Thursday, and will reopen Friday for a hurricane make-up day.
• The Bedminster Township Committee will be holding a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the municipal building on Miller Lane.
• The Bernardsville Borough Planning Board will be holding a meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the municipal building on Mine Brook Road.
• The Bedminster Land Use Board will be holding a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the municipal building on Miller Lane.
