Suspicious Masked Man Wearing Goggles Arrested In Bernardsville
Multiple residents reported the man's suspicious behavior, including shining a flashlight into people's vehicles, said police.
BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — A suspicious person wearing a mask and goggles was arrested recently in Bernardsville.
The Bernardsville Police issued a community advisory on Tuesday regarding numerous reports of a suspicious person wearing a mask and goggles and shining a flashlight into car windows.
Bernardsville Police Department said they were "aware of the person's identity and we have responded to each and every call from our residents reporting this person's suspicious behavior."

"Most encounters with this person, and the actions of this person that were reported to us, have not risen to a level of criminality," said police.
However, police recently responded to a report that did find probable cause to charge this person.

On Sept. 23, a resident reported a masked person wearing goggles walked on their porch. Police later found the suspect, Edwin Perez-Perez, 20, of Anderson Hill Road in Bernardsville, who was charged with disorderly conduct.
"The police are asking residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately. Do not approach or confront anyone," said the police.
Residents are asked to call the police non-emergency number at 908-766-0037 or in the event of an emergency or a crime in progress, call 911.
