Trump Cancels ‘Complete Exoneration’ Press Conference Scheduled In NJ
The former president said the news conference "is no longer necessary" in a post on Truth Social.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — Former president Donald J. Trump cancelled his New Jersey appearance next week, where he had planned to unveil what he called "irrefutable and overwhelming" evidence of election fraud in Georgia.
Trump originally announced he would share information that would lead to his "complete exoneration" in a press conference at his Bedminster golf club on Monday, Aug. 21.
He made the announcement on Monday, Aug. 14 — hours after a Georgia grand jury voted to indict him and others on charges they interfered with the 2020 presidential election.

But on Thursday, the former president said the news conference "is no longer necessary" in a post on Truth Social. Trump cited his lawyers' evidence in the decision, as he prepares to face trial in two criminal cases that stem from his election falsehoods.
“Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this, I believe, Irrefutable & Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud & Irregularities in formal Legal Filings as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment,” he wrote.
