Bernardsville Police said that someone apparently vandalized an equipment storage shed at the Kiwanis Field off Pine Street some time between last Saturday evening and late Sunday morning. Police were notified at 10:51 a.m. on Sunday that someone had taken an object to try to smash the lock, and also had broken lights at the shed, according to the police report. Police said the shed is near the Snack Shack at the field, which is used by the Somerset Hills Little League. Nothing was taken from the shed, police said. No arrests were made. Police said the damage took place sometime between about 5 p.m. on Saturday and at the time police were contacted late Sunday morning.
