9th Grade Orientation Dates Set

Incoming freshmen and their parents can lean about the school and its programs in late August.

Bloomfield High School Principal Chris Jennings has announced the dates for freshman orientation for ninth graders and their parents.

Parents are invited to visit the school on Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. and students will be welcomed the following day. 

At the hour-long session for parents, administrators will be on hand for introductions and parents can learn about school policy and procedures.

School officials said that parents and guardians should return all signed and completed student forms including the emergency contact card. 

The Aug. 29 student orientation is broken into two sessions that are determined alphabetically by the student’s last name.

The first session lasts from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and is intended for students with last names from A through M. 

The second session lasts from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is intended for students with last names from N through Z.

During the orientation students will tour the high school, meet administrators, and learn about BHS programs and policies from current BHS students.

All students should enter through the auditorium entrance. Students are advised to bring their schedule with them.
