BHS Track Clinches Liberty Division Regular Season Title

Team heads into tournament season on a high note.

The Bloomfield High School Track Team clinched the Liberty Division regular season title by thumping Barringer on April 30.

The Boys team finished unbeaten in league competition. At the Essex County Relays on May 3, the team finished in fourth place.

Leading the way was the Boys Shot Put Team of Serhiy Kralka and Assad Younas and Discus Team of Kralka and Marcell Lazard who earned Gold Medals for their first place finishes.

Kralka’s 168’9” discus throw was the third best in New Jersey this year.

Boys Pole Vault garnered a third place finish, the first time the Bengals have placed in a County Pole Vault event in over 30 years.
