Bloomfield Police Offer ‘Safe Zone’ To Make Purchases, Sales From E-Commerce Sites
The BPD "Safe Exchange Zone" is available to people who use services such as Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Letgo and OfferUp.

Bloomfield police issued a reminder about their “Safe Exchange Zone” on Tuesday as the busy holiday shopping season reaches its peak.
The Safe Exchange Zone is located in the lobby of Bloomfield police headquarters, 1 Municipal Plaza. It is available to buyers and sellers of services such as Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Letgo and OfferUp.

Some rules to keep in mind include:
- This safe exchange zone is meant for person-to-person transactions. Property may not be dropped off and left unattended.
- Sellers are required to take their property with them if the buyer does not show up
- The exchange of drugs, weapons, alcohol and other illegal items is not permitted
- This location is monitored by the Bloomfield Police Department 24/7
