Man Accused of Armed Robbery Now Faces Bank Robbery Charges

Akin Dunbar, 26, has been charged in the June robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank in Clifton.

A Bloomfield man accused of a robbery of a Broad Street business has since been arrested in connection with a Clifton bank robbery, police said.

Akin Dunbar, 26, has been charged with the June 28 robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank in Clifton, the Clifton Journal reported.

In the June 28 bank robbery, Dunbar allegedly handed a bank teller a note reading "give me all the money" and received $3,000 before he walked out, according to the article.

Clifton police said they found evidence tying him to the robbery, the article said.

In the July robbery, a Bloomfield business owner identified Dunbar as one of two men who assaulted him and took money from his pocket and attempted to open his cash register, police said.
