Bloomfield Teen Musician Tours East Coast

Bassist played in support of Exoneration Initiative, a non-profit organization that provides free legal assistance to wrongfully convicted people.

Anthony Sabino, a 16 year-old bassist from Bloomfield, performed recently along with eight other teen musicians from School of Rock Montclair in New Jersey, Manhattan and Washington, DC in support of Exoneration Initiative, a non-profit organization that provides free legal assistance to wrongfully convicted persons.

Stops along the four-day “Rockapocalypse Tour” included shows at the Lincoln Memorial; The Doo-Wop Museum and Fox Park in Wildwood, NJ and Webster Hall in Manhattan.

Anthony and his School of Rock bandmates toured with students from other School of Rock franchises from across the United States, including schools from Cleveland; Philadelphia; Princeton; Doylestown, PA; North Palm Beach, FL; South Palm Beach, FL; Ashburn, VA; Vienna, VA; and Silver Spring, MD.

“We piled Anthony and some of our other top students onto a bus and gave them a real taste of the rock n’ roll touring life,” Matt Sandoski, owner of School of Rock Montclair said in an email.  “Their musical talents not only helped to support a worthy cause, they also had a fun and exciting experience that they’ll never forget.”
