The primary election is on Tuesday.
Two Republicans and one Democrat have filed to seek their party's nomination for Mayor along with three Republican candidates for Council and six Democratic candidates.

Republicans Russell Mollica and Richard Galioto, Sr. are vying to run as Mayor and their party members Sharon Soon, Carol Humphreys and Robert Goworek are running for council at large seats.
Bloomfield Township Councilman-At-Large Michael Venezia is running for Mayor. Joining him on the ticket are Wartyna "Nina" Davis, Joe Lopez and Carlos Pomares. With Mayor Raymond McCarthy’s announcement that he will not seek the office, Venezia is running unopposed.

Kevin Lindahl, Vice President of the Bloomfield Tenants Organization is running for Council at Large, as are Russell Youngblood and Rent Advisory Committee member Chris Diguilio.
