This month, Nina Kabakibi of Carteret School took the top prize in the sixth grade division of the the 36th annual Bloomfield Public School Chess Tournament.  This was the second year in a row that Kabakibi beat out the rest of the students in her age group. She said she feels great and very happy after the victory, but told Patch the victory at the May 4th tournament at Berkeley School wasn't easy  "It was harder than last year," she said. "Well, at last I won first place."
