Conductor's Last Show, Summer Concert Series, Musical Comedy This Week

Arts and entertainment choices abound this week in Bloomfield.

On Monday, the Bloomfield Civic Band holds a pop concert and singalong on the town green. The concert, rescheduled after getting rained out last week, is the last show for long-time conductor Dominick Ferrara.

On Tuesday night at 7, Doo-Wop and oldies group the Bronx Wanderers take the stage for the Summer Concert Series at Brookside Park

On Thursday, the Charles Seller Foundation/Talent Time Players’ 64th annual production of the musical comedy Urinetown opens at the Bloomfield High School auditorium. The play runs through the weekend and next week.

The Afro Brazilian Cultural Center at 554 Bloomfield Ave. hosts the Neo_SoulZ Spoken Word & Therapeutic Poetry Open Mic on Friday at 8 p.m.
