Local Market Robbed at Gunpoint, Police Say

A & A Deli, at 133 Montgomery St., was robbed shortly before closing time at 8:05 p.m. on Sunday.

 

A local market was robbed at gunpoint by two men during the Super Bowl on Sunday evening, according to Bloomfield Police. 

Two men wearing masks walked into the A & A Deli, at 133 Montgomery St., shortly before closing time at 8:05 p.m., according to police. One of the men brandished a handgun and demanded the clerk hand over the money in the register.

The clerk hit the panic button which called Bloomfield Police to store, located at the corner of Berkeley Avenue and Montgomery Street. 

The two men were able to take $57 from the market’s register and flee from the store on foot before police could arrive.

Surveillance video captured the robbery. The investigation is ongoing as police review the surveillance footage.
