• Bloomfield Resident's Video Games Stolen During Home Burglary: Police (patch.com) — A Bloomfield resident returned home after the holidays to find a shattered basement window, ransacked drawers, and two missing video game systems, a PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Police say surveillance footage captured two masked men with bags on the stairwell of the Watchung Avenue residence, and the investigation is ongoing.
   

• Daley, Martha Myers (nrvnews.com) — A woman who grew up in Bloomfield and went on to a long career in teaching and community service has died at age 87 in Virginia. Her life story spans local roots in Glen Ridge and Bloomfield, college years in New England, decades of teaching in Virginia, and an active retirement filled with travel, bridge, golf, and devoted time with children, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
