Performers Ready to Unleash 'Urinetown'
Bloomfield production of Tony Award-winning satire opens Thursday.
The cast and crew of the satirical musical "Urinetown" have been busy preparing the show for weeks. The show is opening Thursday night at the Bloomfield High School Auditorium and judging from photos from rehearsals, it looks like they’re more than ready to let loose.
The Tony Award-winning satire skewers politics and musical theater in telling the story of an America where even the most basic of human needs is governed by for corporations.
The play is the Charles Seller Foundation/Talent Time Players’ 64th annual production, with proceeds benefiting young Colin Michael Jones, of Bloomfield.
