Bloomfielders interested in reducing the township's carbon footprint are welcome to join in our discussion on Wednesday, Aug. 7 as we work to bring Greener Bloomfield, this great champion of environmental activism, back on the street.
Started in 2008 by John Palomaki, under his leadership the Sustainable NJ green team earned Bloomfield a bronze certification, much based on his efforts to get the downtown redevelopment to meet green building standards.
We will meet at 7:30 in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the police building at Franklin and Montgomery. The meeting is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
We will discuss what steps we want to make to keep the organization going plus we are going to discuss the sustainable NJ program which is tied to Greener Bloomfield.
