Brick Man Dies In Route 72 Motorcycle Crash

New Jersey State Police said his motorcycle went off the road and hit a tree.

WOODLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Brick Township man was killed when he was thrown from his motorcycle on Route 72 on Oct. 3, New Jersey State Police said.

Christopher Elk, 46, suffered fatal injuries in the crash, which was reported at 6:12 p.m. on Oct. 3, Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.

Elk was riding a Suzuki east on Route 72 when it veered off the road and hit a tree in the area of milepost 9.5, Lebron said.

Elk was thrown from the motorcycle as a result of the impact, he said.

The crash remains under investigation.
