Brick Marking Town's 175th Birthday With Party
The annual Brick Birthday Party, started several years ago at the suggestion of child, marks a milestone anniversary for the township.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township residents are invited to join officials and neighbors to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the town's founding on Saturday at the annual Brick Birthday Party.
The event is set for 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Civic Center, 270 Chambers Bridge Road in Brick.
The event is free and includes music, games, activities, face-painting and cake.

It is open to children of all ages and their families.
Brick Township was officially established by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on Feb. 15, 1850, along with Ocean County.

The township had 1,558 residents when it was founded, and Ocean County had a population of 10,032.
Brick Township's current population is estimated at 76,021, town officials said, while the county has 659,197 residents.
