A Brick woman has been charged with driving intoxicated while her six-year-old daughter was a passenger in her car.
Jasmine Vincent, 22, was pulled over on Cedar Bridge Avenue by Lakewood Police Sgt. James Finnegan at about 2 a.m. Tuesday morning and was later arrested.
Finnegan, police said, saw the driver of a 2013 Honda Civic pull across two lanes of traffic in order to turn north onto New Hampshire Avenue. A motor vehicle stop was conducted a short distance away in the area of 1400 Ocean Avenue.
Vincent, according to a statement from Lakewood police, "gave [Finnegan] reason to believe she was under the influence of alcohol and or a controlled dangerous substance."
Field sobriety tests were conducted and it was determined that Vincent was impaired and was placed under arrest, the statement said.
Vincent's passengers included a 24-year-old male from Jackson and Vincent's six year old daughter. The male was released from the scene and Vincent and her daughter were transported to police headquarters. Upon arrival, Vincent was given an opportunity to make arrangements for the care of her daughter, according to the statement.
Vincent was ultimately charged with DWI, reckless driving, driving while intoxicated with a minor and second degree child endangerment. She was also served with two unrelated warrants for her arrest.
Bail was set for $2,500.
No photo of Vincent was available.
