Dirt Bikers 'Recklessly' Riding At Brick Soccer Complex, Police Say
Brick Township police say they are seeking help identifying the bikers, who have put children in danger and damaged the fields.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police are investigating repeated incidents of dirt bikers "riding recklessly" at the Drum Point Sports Complex, including when children are using the fields.
The dirt bikes have been "speeding across our game fields at Drum Point Sports Complex, even while players were on the field," officials with the Twin County Soccer Association said.
"This dangerous behavior not only poses a risk to those involved but also compromises the safety of our community members enjoying the area," police said in a post on the department's Facebook page.

In addition to riding across the fields while children are practicing and playing soccer, the dirt bike riders caused ruts in the fields by spinning out and sometimes doing donuts, said Paul Pallante, president of Twin County.
Those ruts and tears in the turf not only are costly to repair but pose a serious injury risk to kids playing on the fields, Pallante said, as players can trip, sprain an ankle or worse.
