Driver Dies In Route 88 Crash In Brick

BRICK, NJ — A driver died Monday when their vehicle hit a tree along Route 88 near Jordan Road, Brick Township police said Tuesday.

The crash was reported at 10:37 a.m. Monday. Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle for reasons that have not been determined, and suffered fatal injuries when the vehicle hit the tree.

Police did not release any information identifying the driver or the vehicle involved in the crash.

The investigation is continuing and police ask anyone who witnessed the crash or who has relevant information to call Patrolman Daniel Fogarty of the Traffic Safety Unit at 732-262-1141.
