Honor Veterans In Brick At Veterans Day Ceremony

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday to pay tribute to those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The ceremony is set for 11 a.m. at the municipal complex, 401 Chambers Bridge Road in Brick.

In addition, Brick Township's municipal offices will be closed for the day.

There will be no garbage and recycling collections on Tuesday. Collections normally scheduled for Tuesday will be done Wednesday, and all other collections will be pushed back a day for the rest of the week.

The Brick Township Historical Society is hosting a free meeting and presentation Tuesday night on the Vietnam War.

Historian and professor Paul Zigo will speak on "Vietnam: the Early Early Years - Origins & Escalation." The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Herbertsville Firehouse, 601 Herbertsville Road. Parking is available behind the firehouse. Call 732-785-2500 for more information.
